Poem for Fr. D From Friends
In your village there's a mountain.
In the town there is an ocean.
Come, come back to them.
Neon signs illuminate a foreign land.
Hunger of knowledge goes down the ocean.
Come,come back to them.
Who are those who hunger and thirst?
We do not know but they call you.
They cry and say,"We are thirsty!
"Come,come, we need you!
And we say to you, "Your people,
the people you sincerely love between mountain
and the ocean with hunger and thirst for your love
Come, come back to them.
Your people want you to be with them.
Your people - waiting for you, our friend.
Yes, you are the one they desire
with wisdom and knowledge afire;
the struggle, the pain, the glory
are simply parts of your story.
Come and be with them.
